ENTERTAINMENT Burna Boy leads Billboard’s Top 15 Sub-Saharan African Artists list
Nigerian singer Burna Boy has been named the most-streamed artist in Sub-Saharan Africa, according to Billboard.
The ranking, based global views on YouTube, sees Burnaboy top with 435.57 million streams, with Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz coming in second with 291.98 million streams while Davido takes the third spot with 285.76 million streams.
The list was dominated by Nigerian musicians with their Ghanaian counterparts were aptly missing on the African ranking.
A total of 9 Nigerian acts including, Wizkid, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, Joeboy, Sinach and Flavour featured on the list.
The others on the list are Fally Ipupa, Innoss’b, Harmonize, Rayvanny and Eddy Kenzo.
